Sonia Nimr grew up in Jenin, a small town in Palestine, then moved to England and took her doctorate in Oral History at the University of Exeter. After six years as an educational officer at the British Museum, she returned to Palestine to become head of the Museum Department at the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, and she now lectures in history and philosophy at Birzeit University.
